Hey there! This article was written in 2008.

FireGPG and blogging

Posted 14 August 2008 in encryption and technology

I installed a Firefox extension recently that has been blowing my socks off, and it's called FireGPG. FireGPG adds GPG support to Firefox, like how Enigmail adds GPG support to Thunderbird.

Encryption (and cryptographic signatures) continue to fascinate me -- I firmly believe that encryption is an absolute necessity for every single internet user, and I have been doing simple experiments in Django with blog software to see how difficult GPG integration would be...only to find that it's easy as pie with FireGPG and a little bit of backend code. But make sure you install GPG and the extensions to make its use easy!

Expect an increase in GPG use on my end.
