Hey there! This article was written in 2007.

It might not have aged well for any number of reasons, so keep that in mind when reading (or clicking outgoing links!).

I love Webmail.us!

Posted 19 January 2007 in email, recommendation, and webmail.us

I've been using Webmail.us for my email hosting needs for something like a year, and I never cease to be impressed by their service. Just today I started wondering if they supported "+something" email addresses. The gist of it is that, if my email address is "spam@kurtmckee.org", I could sign up for an account at Facebook using "spam+facebook@kurtmckee.org". I could also sign up for an account at Slashdot using "spam+slashdot@kurtmckee.org". The benefit is that it becomes easier to track down who gave your email address away to spammer, and it's stupid easy to filter incoming email.

Webmail.us goes ABCD once again. Not only do they handle "+something" email addresses, they automatically filter the emails into folders named "something". In my examples, that would be a folder named "facebook" and a folder named "slashdot". Fantastic!

If you're wondering where to host your email at, look no farther than Webmail.us. They are far better than anything you'll find for free, and I cannot imagine any other email hosting service as whole-heartedly committed to quality and service as Webmail.us.

Webmail.us: a cut above the competition.
