lessons learned in production

Hey there! This article was written in 2007.

It might not have aged well for any number of reasons, so keep that in mind when reading (or clicking outgoing links!).

It's the little things

  • K. Dubs stole my wildcard before leaving town for 8 days. In doing so, he stole my meal ticket for the week, as well as my ability to do my laundry, buy snacks, and get a discount at the local theater last night. On the plus side, I cleaned every inch of my room trying to find it while he was incommunicado in Minnesota.

  • Eric has put his mom on Linux after Windows Update decided that she was running a pirated copy of Windows and locked her out of her computer. Hooray for moms running Linux!

  • I'm flying out to see Frederick on Thursday evening to start my spring break. Stephan and David will be driving down to Texas on Saturday to pick me up and have some Chipotle.

  • My birthday party went well. Conspicuously missing was Aaron's girlfriend Erica, whose roommate was in a tragic car accident earlier that day! Erica therefore spent her time taking care of her roommate.

  • I've decided that I won't drink alcohol anymore, thanks to a conversation with a friend of mine. She gushed that she's met Mr. Right, and mentioned that she's liked guys who've not held her views about alcohol, and that she always felt she would just have to settle. After hanging up I threw out my remaining alcohol -- I'll not have any hypothetical future girl feel like she's settling for me!
