Hey there! This article was written in 2007.

It might not have aged well for any number of reasons, so keep that in mind when reading (or clicking outgoing links!).

Sleeping on the floor

Posted 28 February 2007 in floor and sleep

I once passed by the open door of a guy across the hall from me, and I noted that his mattress was leaning against the wall, and his bed frame was covered in books. Surprised, I asked him where he actually slept, and he glanced at the floor in reply. "If I sleep on a mattress, I sleep too much," he informed me. (Of course, he only sleeps around four hours each night.)

I've taken to trying the same thing, and I'll tell you what: sleeping on the floor definitely makes you get up when your alarm goes off. It's not the most uncomfortable thing in the world, but there is incentive to get up off of the floor when you wake up.

The only problem is that I don't trust that those house centipedes are all dead from the cold...
