Hey there! This article was written in 2006.

It might not have aged well for any number of reasons, so keep that in mind when reading (or clicking outgoing links!).

Facial copyrights

Posted 15 December 2006

Background: At the choir concert on Tuesday, Bri and Linda - two of the students I taught trig to over the summer - approached me for a photo. I joked that I had a copyright on my face, so if they took a photo they would have to send it to me.

Today I went to eat lunch with David and Stephan at the homeschool co-op classes Stephan's in, and Bri approached me, flabbergasted.

Bri : "How did you copyright your face?!"
Me : "What?"
Bri : "I uploaded the concert pictures to Facebook, but the photo with you in it kept giving me an error! I thought maybe you had to map out the pixels of your face and register it or something?"
