What ever happened to...?

Posted 20 October 2006 in Allan, Chelsea, choir, Chris, Jarod, Jenny, Lee, memory, quote, and Stan

Back in the good old days of Elder, my friend Stan C. lived across the hall from me. One of the things that set him apart was the fact that he had a TV show on at all times. I remember chiding him about that when he, Allan, and his roommate Lee were all in the room. He replied "I would kill everyone in this room for 15 minutes of precious TV." Stan always had something awesome to say, but he always said it quietly. I wonder what ever happened to him?

Back in the good old days of high school, my friend Chris S. was in choir with me. I remember being on choir tour our freshman year and going to the town of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The town was terrifying, and I remember him walking up to Jenny S. (different S.), pulling a switchblade out of his pocket, and handing it to her. "What's this for?", she asked. "Protection," he replied. Chris always said things tongue-in-cheek, and very often had something to say that was laugh-out-loud funny, although you had to be within a foot of him to hear it. I wonder what ever happened to him?

Back in the good old days of...well, high school, I remember being an uptight, legalistic jerk. In my freshman year drama class, I had to participate in an awkward ad lib scene in which my friend Chelsea ~~B.~~ T. suddenly gave me a big hug. I completely freaked out, thinking "WHAT THE HECK." Chelsea would also muss my hair up when she would pass by, which was quite troublesome. The last memory I have of Chelsea was when she glided into the room at an after- party my junior year; she was showing off her sweet new sneakers that had little inline skates built into the soles. I wonder what ever happened to her?

Again in high school, I remember my friend Jarod S. being a laid back, easygoing guy. He became convinced that I was a total ladies' man, and once told me that every time he saw me he was reminded of the song "Chick Magnet" by MxPx. I told him I had never heard the song before, so a few weeks later he burst out singing the lyrics. Meaning no offense to Jarod, I can safely say that I still have never heard the song before, despite his valiant attempts to recreate it for me. I wonder what ever happened to him?
