Static Shock

Posted 2 December 2005 in life

Remember that old cartoon, "Static Shock"? It featured a teenage guy who struggles with being able to control static electricity while going to high school. He was able to get around with some sort of airfoil by jumping on it and yelling "The power of static electricity compels you!"

I've been really struggling with static electricity myself. I've been shocked by parking meters, by water out of drinking fountains and sinks, and by car doors through the tops of my shoes. Sometimes it's a brilliant flash of light, and other times it's just a loud snap.

It's troublesome.
