Just last Sunday, Pastor Jason defined the word theophany for the congregation. "A theophany is basically when God shows up." After the service he asked me if I was going to be sticking around for the summer. I responded that it would take a theophany, since my parents would be coming to get me in four days.
Well guess what.
Some ladies at the Health Services recommended I talk with the network administrator there, as a position had apparently abruptly opened. I of course did, and early this week I got an email that he wanted to meet with me. I jumped on the opportunity. On Monday (the 7th) I heard back from him. Tuesday (the 8th) I met with him for the first time. Today (the 9th) I landed the job. Tomorrow (the 10th) is when my parents would have started driving to come pick me up. Friday (the 11th) I start my first day of work.
It gets better.
The lady who the network administrator had to talk with about getting funding to actually give me a wage wants a piece of me, too. There's apparently something going on that she has some control over that she wants me to get involved with, and it involves Linux. That's a Good Thing(TM). Not only that, but she was kind enough to get me a super discount on living arrangements at Foster-Walker Complex, so I have a place to stay over the summer. Hooray!
So you see that God arranged everything; who else could put something together this fast?
